Marianna Ruggiero is currently attending the second year of the Master’s Degree in concert performance at the Conservatorio “Umberto Giordano” in Foggia, under the guidance of Mª Anna Chiara D’Ascoli. She has furthered her studies through numerous masterclasses with internationally renowned pianists, including Oxana Yablonskaya, Alexander Romanovsky, Andrea Lucchesini, Roberto Plano and Antonio Pompa-Baldi, enriching her artistic development through continuous artistic exchange.
Winner of numerous international piano competitions, she has been awarded first prizes at the International Chopin Roma Piano Competition, the Scarlatti International Piano Competition in Trapani, OYPI Eilat and OYPI Bulgaria; first absolute prize at the 4th “László Spezzaferri” International Music Competition in Verona, at the Talento Contemporaneo Competition in Trieste, and at the 38th Piano Competition “J. S. Bach” in Sestri Levante, where she also received the Special Prize “Comune di Sestri Levante”. She has also been awarded second prize at the 5th International Festival-Contest “Music of the World” in Israel, at OYPI in Los Angeles and at the “Budapest International Liszt Ferenc Competition”.
She has gained significant orchestral experience, performing in Viterbo and Rome with the ICNT Orchestra and in Brescia with the Master Orchestra. She carries out an intense concert activity which has led her to perform in Italy, France, Spain, Bulgaria, Hungary and the United States.
In March 2024 she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Piano at the Conservatorio “Umberto Giordano” with top marks (110/110).
She has been a student of the Fondazione Accademia di Musica since 2026.
