Jessica Siciliano
Biography

Jessica Siciliano was born in Verona, VR (Italy) on 18/12/1998. She began studying the violin at the age of 11, at the “Giovanni Verga-Don Milani” State Middle School in Barrafranca, EN, under the guidance of Maestro Vincenzo Diaferio. During the three-year school period, she approached the study of the violin with orchestral practice, thus taking part in the various orchestral projects proposed by the same school. She enrolled in pre-academic courses at the “V. Bellini ” Conservatory of Caltanissetta,CL at the age of 13, under the guidance of Maestro Raffaello Pilato. During her high school years, she joined the orchestra by participating in numerous concerts and competitions in Italy. In the same years she participated in the violin master with Francesco Manara and in the summer she attended an international Masterclass in Chiusi della Verna with Alina Company.

In the 2016/2017 school year, she began her Bachelor Degree at the “V. Bellini” Conservatory in Caltanissetta, and since 2018 she moved to Cremona to continue her studies at the Higher Institute of Musical Studies “C. Monteverdi” with Maestro Roberto Noferini. She followed a Masterclass in Baroque Violin at the Higher Institute of Musical Studies “C. Monteverdi “in Cremona with Maestro Enrico Gatti and the following year with Maestro Enrico Casazza.

In 2019 at the “Musikkurse im Kloster Springiersbach” in Germany she attended an international specialization course with Maestro Mario di Nonno. In 2021 she follows the Masterclasses with Masters Marco Rizzi, Sonig Tchakerian, and Emy Bernecoli.

Jessica Siciliano performs in many concerts both as a soloist and with orchestra. Among the most important venue in which she played stand out the concerts at the Ponchielli Theater in Cremona, the Ala Ponzone Civic Museum in Cremona, the Giovanni Arvedi Auditorium at the Cremona Violin Museum, the church of San Giovanni Evangelista in Ravenna, the Giovanni XXIII Theater of Bergamo, the Royal Palace of Monza, the church MSS della Stella in Barrafranca (EN) and the Palazzo Cattaneo Ala Ponzone in Cremona.

In 2018 she participated as second violin at the Ensemble Orchestral de Dijon performing at the Auditorium of the Chamber of Commerce of Cremona. During the academic years at the Higher Institute of Music Studies “C. Monteverdi ”in Cremona, she studied with Maestro Isabella Longo and Marco Pedrona, obtaining a Bachelor Degree with 106/110 in 2020. Since 2020 she has been studying under the guidance of Maestro Emy Bernecoli and on 26 November 2021 she takes the degree exam of the Master’s degree with 108/110 at the Higher Institute of Music Studies “C. Monteverdi ”of Cremona. She has participated in competitions for soloists, duets and orchestra, ranking first, second and third in National and International Competitions in cities such as Città di Castello, Enna, Caltanissetta, Acireale, Calascibetta, Foggia, Niscemi, “Apulia Metropolitan Music Contest”, Val Tidone .

She currently plays a violin by G. L. Quagliano (2017) Jesi.
