14 – 30 July 2021 – Bardonecchia (To)
Since 1995 the summer music camp in Bardonecchia has given students the opportunity to be taught by internationally famous musicians in a 15-day residential course offering masterclasses in piano, violin, cello, horn and chamber music. Students in the courses also perform in public as the camp organises thirty concerts for the people of Bardonecchia.
Every year the camp’s 180 students are given advanced music training thanks to the passion and expertise of the internationally renowned musicians who teach the summer courses: they include Roberto Plano, Benedetto Lupo, Tatiana Zelikman, Claudio Voghera, Enrico Pace, Filippo Gamba, Daniela Carapelli, Roberto Prosseda, Gabriele Carcano, Giacomo Fuga and Giovanni Doria Miglietta (piano); Lukas Hagen, Adrian Pinzaru , Sonig Tchakerian (violin); Enrico Bronzi (cello); Natalino Ricciardo (horn); Trio Debussy (chamber music).
Registration is now open. Applications can be sent until 14 June 2021 (You will find the application forms on the pages of the individual courses).

Deadline for applications for masterclasses 14 June 2021 (with the “GARANZIA COVID” guarantee to hold certain places). If on 30/6/2021 the restrictions put in place by national and regional governments to contain the Covid pandemic make it impossible for the Accademia to hold the masterclasses of the Musica d’Estate summer camp as normal, application fees will be refunded. Please apply to enrol in the course as soon as possible using the forms you will find at the end of each page/course. This will allow us to have a precise idea of the number of participants and thus to organise the measures required to protect their health.
Every year, throughout July, students and lecturers from the courses perform in 30 concerts in Bardonecchia over a month-long programme, attracting more than 7,000 music lovers. Venues include the Palazzo delle Feste community centre, the Church Maria Ausiliatrice and the Church of San Ippolito, decorated with wonderful old wood carvings by the valley’s craftsmen.
The Musica d’Estate summer camp is organised by the Accademia di musica di Pinerolo with financing from the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Regione Piemonte government, the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo foundation, the City of Bardonecchia, Fondazione C.R.T foundation, and with the valuable contribution of Villaggio Campo Smith, Bardonecchia Booking and Harald’s. We have always to thank Piatino Pianoforti and Yamaha Musica Italia for their generosity in providing musical equipment.
