Since 1994 the Accademia di Musica has organised the International Chamber Music Competition Pinerolo e Torino Città metropolitana, a prestigious chamber music competition that is a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Geneva. Every two years outstanding young musicians from all over the world come to perform in Pinerolo and Turin. The ensembles were competing for prizes totalling 23,000 euros.
Due to the Covid19 emergency and the consequent general uncertainty, we have decided on the new competition structure. From this year the competition will carry out preselection by video recording, as follows:
The Jury for the 2022/23 competition consist of internationally renowned musicians: Lukas Hagen (Austria), violin; Liisa Randalu (Estonia), viola; Joel Hoffmann (USA), composer; Marco Zuccarini (Italia), conductor; Miklòs Pereniy (Hungary), cello; Gabriele Mirabassi (Italy), clarinet and Klauss Kaufmann (Germany), piano (2022) – Claus Christian Schuster (Austria), piano (2023).
