Since 1994 the Accademia di Musica has organised the International Chamber Music Competition Pinerolo e Torino Città metropolitana, a prestigious chamber music competition that is a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Geneva. Every two years outstanding young musicians from all over the world come to perform in Pinerolo and Turin.
The Jury for the 2024/25 competition consist of internationally renowned musicians: Lukas Hagen (Austria), violin; Wen-Sinn Yang (Suisse), cello; Claus Christian Schuster (Austria), piano; Gerard Caussè (France), viola; Cristo Barrios Reyes (Spain), clarinet; Francesco Pennarola (Italy), piano, Director of Conservatorio in Turin. The ensembles will competing for prizes totalling 31,500 euros.
2024
– APPLICATIONS: entrants must send their application, together with their video (recorded exclusively for this competition), by and no later than 12 February 2024
– PRESELECTION BY VIDEO: The jury admits 25 ensembles to the live competition rounds. Results will be communicated by 18 March 2024
