Shaping the future generation of professionals

ADVANCED MUSIC TRAINING

The Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo can undoubtedly be classified as one of most important and renowned schools of advanced music training in Italy.

Since 1994, through our programme of specialist courses aimed at training professional musicians, our school has always supported exceptionally talented young people, providing them with courses held by internationally renowned teachers, and creating opportunities for them to work as musicians.

Each year 600 students from all over the world enroll at our school to study piano, contemporary music for piano, viola, violin, cello, clarinet, flute, oboe, orchestra training, chamber music and performance-oriented composition. At the Accademia the teaching programme is always centred around the students and an individual study pathway is created for them with the aim of fostering their personal development as musicians, a pathway that combines individual teaching with performance opportunities. Further support for talented students comes from the partnerships formed by the school, with opportunities to take part in national and international projects.

Applications now open for these courses: Postgraduate Specialist Courses in Music PerformanceAdvanced courses, Light Courses, Pre Academic courses 2023/24, Musica d’Estate summer camp 2023, masterclasses 2023. Nothing can replace the personal rapport between teacher and student, but if the restrictions put in place by national and regional governments to contain the Covid 19 pandemic make it impossible for the Accademia to hold the one-year advanced music courses lessons as normal, the academic year will be held online with an innovative platform, enjoying a much higher sound quality than common videoconference platforms.

See below for details of all activated courses. You will find the application forms on the pages of the individual courses. See here a full list of application deadlines (where discrepancies of dates occur, the valid deadline is the date indicated on the webpage of the individual course).
