Art Bonus and tax incentives for art and culture

Support the Accademia and obtain substantial tax deductions.

HELP US TO NURTURE THE MUSIC YOU LOVE

Donations to the Fondazione Accademia di Musica ETS are eligible for both the ART BONUS tax relief and the tax relief available for Third Sector bodies registered in the Registro Unico. Whilst we outline the features of both schemes below, we recommend that you consult your accountant or a tax assistance centre (CAF) to determine which type of relief is most suitable for you, as each choice must be assessed in the context of your personal circumstances and the amount of the donation.

ART BONUS

Thanks to Art Bonus today you can support the Accademia di Musica through donations of money (the procedure is very simple), while benefitting from substantial tax deductions.

> WHAT IS “ART BONUS”

Introduced for the first time in 2014 and extended in 2020 to all organisations that hold concerts and choral performances (which includes the Accademia di Musica),
l’ART BONUS s a form of tax relief consisting of a tax credit for cash donations in support of culture and the performing arts. Both natural and legal persons can donate using Art Bonus; they will recover 65% of the monies donated in the form of tax credit, in three equal installments paid out over three years. Natural persons and associations not engaged in profit making activities are eligible for a tax credit of up to 15% of taxable income, while for companies the tax credit amounts to a maximum of 5×1000 of profits.

> > HOW TO MAKE YOUR DONATION

  • By bank transfer (stating as “purpose of payment” “Art bonus Accademia di Musica – funding for school activities 2026/2027”) made out to Fondazione Accademia di Musica ETS, Intesa San Paolo bank account: Iban: IT80 V030 6930 7501 0000 0114 876 – Cod Bic Swift: BCITITMM

  • By cheque, made out to Fondazione Accademia di Musica

> HOW TO APPLY FOR TAX CREDIT

  • If you have made your donation by bank transfer, completing the” purpose of payment” box as above, all you need to do is to keep the receipt of the transaction.
  • If the donation was made using any other traceable method of payment (card or cheque) you must ask the Accademia di Musica to give you a receipt. In order to do this, you need only write an email addressed to [email protected], giving the details of the donation, including the tax code of the donor, or the VAT number of the company/organisation.

IMPORTANT: Keep a copy of the document providing proof of the donation, as well as a copy of the trnsaction (bank statement, credit/debit card records or copy of the cheque, indicating the amount of the gift and the name of the beneficiary). These documents must be included with your tax return statement, which, at the time required, you must file with your accountant or at a CAF centre. Remember that the tax credit applies only to the person named as signatory of the bank account linked to the card used to make the payment.

> TELL US ABOUT YOUR DONATION

Thank you for choosing Accademia di Musica as beneficiary of your Art Bonus donation. It is important for us to know if you wish your name to appear either on our website page dedicated to thanking our supporters, or on the page of the Art Bonus portal listing patrons of the arts. Can you help us with this? We need you to complete this form and send it by e-mail to [email protected]
