Since 1994 the Fondazione Accademia di Musica has been organizing the International Chamber Music Competition Pinerolo e Torino Città metropolitana, a prestigious chamber music competition that is a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Geneva. Every two years outstanding young musicians from all over the world come to perform in Pinerolo and Turin.
The Jury for the 2024/25 competition consisted of internationally renowned musicians: Lukas Hagen (Austria), violin; Wen-Sinn Yang (Suisse), cello; Claus Christian Schuster (Austria), piano; Muriel Razavi (Iran/USA), viola; Cristo Barrios Reyes (Spain), clarinet; Francesco Antonioni (Italy), composer; Francesco Pennarola (Italy), piano, Director of Conservatorio in Turin. The Jury for the 2027/28 competition is currently being refined. The ensembles will competing for prizes totalling 31,500 euros.

– APPLICATIONS: entrants must send their application, together with their video (recorded exclusively for this competition, as per regulation), by and no later than 9th September 2027.
– PRESELECTION BY VIDEO: The jury admits 25 ensembles to the live competition rounds.

Elimination round and semifinals, Final, Winners’ concert and Prize giving ceremony (from 6th to 12th March 2028, Pinerolo and Turin – Italy).
