A major new feature of the International Summer Music Festival Musica d’Estate, which will take place from 16 to 30 July 2026 in Bardonecchia (Turin), in the heart of the Alps, is the four in-depth talks organised by MDE OFF. A series of interviews will be conducted in the evenings, in the foyer of the Sala Viglione at the Palazzo delle Feste, with Gianmarco Moneti interviewing and presenting. The interviewees will be 4 internationally famous musicians, who are teachers of the advanced music masterclasses held in Bardonecchia, as well as teaching courses at the Accademia in Pinerolo that are enthusiastically followed by students: Roberto Plano, Enrico Bronzi, Ivan Rabaglia, Benedetto Lupo. A Q&A session with questions from the audience will follow every interview.
Each interview tells the musicians’ artistic and professional journey, from their formative years through to national and international recognition, exploring topics such as their relationship with their teachers, the key stages in their artistic development, as well as the moments of doubt and difficulty encountered along the way; their repertoire; and advice on how to balance their studies with the start of their professional careers. This series of public interviews forms part of the ‘A career in music’ project.
