The course is intended to help students extend their knowledge of the repertoire of their instrument, thus giving them a solid basis on which to build a professional career, as teachers or performers.
The annual study pathway includes the study of repertoire for:
- solo performance
- chamber music
- orchestra performance
The course also includes the study of excerpts for orchestra and training for professional orchestra work. Students will have one lesson per month, from October to May. The total number of lessons for the academic year is 8.
Collaborative pianist, Giorgia Delorenzi, will also be present at the lessons.
Nothing can replace the personal rapport between teacher and student, but if the restrictions put in place by national and regional governments to contain the Covid 19 pandemic make it impossible for the Accademia to hold the one-year advanced music courses lessons as normal, the academic year 2021/22 will be held online with an innovative platform, enjoying a much higher sound quality than common videoconference platforms.
At the end of the course (minimum 2 years) each student will take an exam to assess whether they can be awarded a Diploma or Master’s Diploma. Students who achieve a Master’s Diploma are then eligible to apply for a scholarship for the following academic year.
To apply for admission candidates must be no older than 30, in possession of a Conservatorio Diploma (old system), a Level 1 or Level 2 degree or equivalent qualification from a country other than Italy. The commission reserves the right to accept any student who shows exceptional talent, even though they do not meet the above-mentioned requirements.
Applications for the Academic Year 2021/2022 must reach our offices by 24 May 2021.
The admission exams will take place in presence on 9th June 2021.
If the pandemic evolution and the future rules make impossible for the Accademia to hold the exams in presence, the selections will take place by sending a video containing the required programme.
FOR STUDENTS RESIDENT OUTSIDE ITALY
Students resident outside Italy, who want to make the entrance exam to the courses of the Accademia, can choose to make the exam in presence or sending a performance video; in this last case the video must be sent together with the application form.
The entrance exam will consist of the performance of a programme that includes at least two pieces in different styles.
