Yanying Bao
Biography

Yanying Bao was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, on 19 May 2006. She began studying the piano at the age of five and, at just seven years old, embarked on her formal musical education at the “Niccolò Piccinni” Conservatory of Music in Bari, where she attended the pre-academic and preparatory courses under the guidance of Maria Cristina Caldarola. She subsequently continued her piano studies in the Bachelor’s Degree programme in Piano under the guidance of Emanuele Arciuli, a course of study which she is currently completing.

Alongside her studies of the solo piano repertoire, she developed a particular interest in piano accompaniment while attending classes with Lucrezia Messa. This experience inspired her to further pursue the field of collaborative piano.

She is currently provisionally enrolled in the Master’s Degree programme in Collaborative Piano at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Music in Milan.

Over the years, she has further enriched her musical education by attending masterclasses with distinguished musicians, including Pasquale Iannone and James Vaughan.

Alongside her academic studies, she regularly works as a pianist accompanying musical services at the Chinese Christian Evangelical Church in Italy in Bari, an experience through which she continues to develop and deepen her skills in musical collaboration.

She has been a student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica since 2026.
