Michele Taraborrelli
Biography

Michele Taraborrelli, born in 1999, completed his piano studies at the “Luisa D’Annunzio” Conservatory of Pescara, obtaining at the age of only 21 the Master Degree diploma under the
guidance of Prof. Daniela De Ninis with 110/110 cum laude and honorable mention. He also obtained a scholarship recognition from the Inner Wheel Club Pescara association as the best
piano student in the year 2017/2018; he was also nominated by the Conservatory as Piano Assistant in the academic year 2020/2021 and reconfirmed in 2021/2022.
He did his post-graduate internship at the “Joseph Haydn Conservatory” in Eisenstadt (Austria) and now continues to study with M. Pierluigi Camicia.
In 2022 he was selected in one of the most important Italian academies, the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo, to attend the courses held by M. Filippo Gamba and Roberto Plano.
He has held masterclasses with internationally renowned pianists, including: Ramin Bahrami, Frank Peters, Alexander Kobrin, Frank van de Laar, Roberto Prosseda.
He has been awarded in many national and international competitions: international piano competition “Muzio Clementi” (Lugano), Classical Music Competition (London), international music competition “città of Tarquinia”, international music competition “città of Gorizia”, international music competition ” Paolo Barrasso”, national music competition “Ortona città d’arte”, national chamber music competition “Bruno mezzana”.
He plays recitals in many festivals: PianoLab Festival at the Camera Consigliare of the Ducal Palace of Martina Franca, Friuli-Concertante “Festival d’Arte” at the Museum of historical musical instruments of Paularo (UD), “I Giovani Artisti d’ Abruzzo” – University Museum “G. D’Annunzio” of Chieti, “I Giovani Interpreti” – Auditorium Sant’Achille of Molfetta and “Emerging sonorities” in the ancient Cathedral of Sant’Anna of Teramo; Also with chamber ensembles: 67th concert-theatrical season at the “M. Caniglia” in Sulmona, “Festa della musica” – Palazzo Aurum in the Flaiano hall in Pescara, “I Concerti del Parco – Contemporary Music stage” – Manilo La Morgia chamber music hall in Lanciano.
In honor of the 250th anniversary of the birth of L. van Beethoven he held a lesson-concert on the sonata Op.53 n.21 “Waldstein” at the church of Santa Filomena (Vasto), dealing with the historicalmusical- philosophical aspects that most characterize this composition.
A poliedric musician, he graduated in clarinet at the Liceo Musicale in Vasto; he has played in multiple orchestras playing a vast symphonic and operatic repertoire.
Fascinated by the jazz world, he has deepened it by attending lessons and masterclasses with renowned teachers (M. Grossi, L. Mannutza, M. Di XR Battista, G. Esposito). He is currently
deepening his composition studies.
