Matteo Baldoni
Biography

Matteo Baldoni was born in Recanati and began studying the violin at a very young age. At just 17, he graduated from the Fermo Conservatory of Music with top honors.

He continued his studies first at the Pinerolo Academy of Music, where he studied under Dora Schwarzberg, and subsequently with Maestro Marco Fiorini at the Rome Conservatory.

Active in chamber music, he performs in ensembles with musicians such as Kevin Spagnolo, Andrea Obiso, David Romano, Mario Montore, the Labeque Sisters, Massimo Spada, Alessio Pianelli, Giuliano Mazzoccante, and Mirei Yamada, and has recorded for labels including Sony Classical.

In November 2024, he won the competition for a section violinist position with the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, where he continues to serve in that role. In January 2026, he was selected in the competition for assistant concertmaster at the RAI Symphony Orchestra of Turin.

He is currently continuing his studies at the Zurich University of the Arts under the guidance of Maestro Alexander Sitkovetsky, where he also studies Baroque violin with Maestro Monika Baer.

He has been a student at the Fondazione Accademia di Musica since 2026.
