Luca Giarritta
Biography

Born in Fermo in 1998, he began studying piano at the age of nine. He attended the Conservatory G. B. Pergolesi of Fermo, where he obtained Bachelor Degree with Honours and Academic Mention under the guidance of M. Nicola De Francesco and Master Degree, always with Honours and Academic Mention, under the guidance of M. Fabrizio Viti. During the Academic Year 2022/2023, he studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Nuremberg under the guidance of M. Massimiliano Mainolfi and is currently specializing in Contemporary Piano at the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo (light course) under the guidance of M. Emanuele Arciuli. Alongside his musical studies he also studied literature: at the University of Siena he obtained a Master’s Degree, with Honours and Academic Mention, in Classical Letters with a thesis of a musical-literary character on the Aeneid. During his studies he has participated in various masterclasses held by well-known concert performers (including R. Delorko, L. F. Tagliavini, O. Eren, A. Capecci, C. Bützberger, Ensemble Suono Giallo, M. Campanella, I. Baldaccini) and composers (F. De Rossi Re, R. Spinosa). Under the guidance of M. Alessandra Gentile, since 2020 with Domenico Di Maria (saxophone) in duo (Duo Limes) specializing in songs ranging from historical to contemporary music, training with which he successfully participates in various competitions and concerts of Chamber Music (Fermo 2021 – Concerto Rete Lirica Marchigiana, Macerata 2022 – Concerts in Ateneo for UniMC, Ancona 2022 – Cantieri Musicali). In addition to the study of the instrument, he is passionate about composition, especially music writing applied to the image. In 2016 he composed the music for the Docu-Film “Gli Alberi della Memoria” deposited at the archive of RAI Storia. In 2020 he took part, at the Tchaikovsky Center in Saint Petersburg, in a course of high specialization on cinematographic musical composition held by M. Rossella Spinosa. Some of his compositions have been performed in Contemporary Music Festival (Festival del Melologo, Como, 2022) or published in academic journals (Annali degli Studi Senesi, 2023). In 2024, with his compositions, he collaborated on “I giorni della Merla”, a literary festival held at the Teatro della Filarmonica in Macerata and conducted by the writer Lucia Tancredi and the radio host Loredana Lipperini.

In addition to training activities, he has a number of concert experiences in Italy and abroad – including, worthy of note, the recital held in Milan, on the occasion of Expo 2015, at the Hungarian Cultural Pavilion, the concert at the Maison de la jeunesse et de la culture (France) in 2016, the opening of the concert season of the sixteenth edition of the Liszt Festival in Grottammare in 2021, in the same year, the concert for the association AUSER at the Sala dei Ritratti in Fermo, in 2022 the recital for the concert festival “Opera al parco”, within the Macerata Opera Festival, in 2023, the recital “In tre” for the Musical Association “Appassionata” at the Teatro della Filarmonica of Macerata, in the same year, the recital of Aktuelle Musik at the Hörsaal of the Hochschule für Musik in Nuremberg and, in 2024, the concerts for the Marche Classical Music Festival “Armonie della sera”.
