Federico Petti is a very young Roman pianist, born on November 25, 2010. Since November 2022, he has been a student at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, where he is enrolled in the Academic Piano Program under the guidance of Maestro Marialaura Proietti Salvatori.
Over the years, Federico has had the opportunity to perform for and receive guidance from numerous distinguished musicians, including Maestro Desireè Scuccuglia, Maestro Gesualdo Coggi, Maestro Federico Nicoletta, Maestro Vincenzo Balzani, Maestro Boris Vsevolodovič Petrušanskij, Maestro Igor Roma, and Maestro Vitaly Pisarenko.
Federico is currently continuing his studies at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory under the guidance of Maestro Marialaura Proietti Salvatori.
Federico is also actively involved in national and international music competitions. In 2023, he won the First Absolute Prize at the “Città di Latina” and “Note nel Borgo dell’Angelo” competitions, as well as First Prize at the “San Vigilio in Canto” and “NYMC – New York Music Competition.” At the “Note sul Mare” competition, he won the First Absolute Prize both as a soloist and as a member of the “Duo Petti.” At the duo’s first public performance, Federico and his brother Edoardo were also awarded the Special Prize for Chamber Music.
Alongside his emerging career as a soloist, Federico is therefore developing a strong commitment to chamber music. He performs regularly with his brother Edoardo throughout Italy, including in Erice, Trevi, and Rome, presenting programs entirely devoted to chamber music for flute and piano, with a constant search for originality and freshness. He also performs with Pietro Angelucci, with whom he won the “Second Federal Prize” at the 2024 intercontinental Junge Musiziert competition.
Since 2025, Federico has also been a student at the Pinerolo Music School, where he studies under Maestro Filippo Gamba. He also receives guidance from Maestro Gala Chistiakova, with whom he is exploring the great Russian repertoire, particularly the works of Prokofiev and Rachmaninoff
