Biography

Leading Italian soprano, teacher and artistic director, was awarded the Italian Critic’s Award “Abbiati”, Spanish Critic’s Award “Campoamor”, Puccini from the Puccini Festival, among others.

Protagonist in the most prestigious Opera Houses and Concert Halls, such as Scala, La Fenice, San Carlo, Met, ROH Convent Garden, Opera Bastille, Wiener Staatsopern, Festival Arena of Verona and Salzburg, Royal Albert Hall, Avery Fischer Hall, Suntory Hall Auditorium of Santa Cecilia , with orchestra directors such as Abbado, Chailly, Chung, Gatti, Luisi, Masur, Maazel, Mehta, Muti, Oren… and stage directors such as Carsen, Cavani, De Ana, Krief, Monicelli, Montaldo, Scola, Vick, Zeffirelli, of which there is a large discography.

She is a teacher for master’s and bachelor’s degree courses at the University “Conservatori del Liceu” in Barcelona and at the Academies Verdiana of the Teatro Regio of Parma and of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, often invited to hold masterclasses and conferences in the highest international institutions.
