Ivan Fedele‘s advanced composition course offers a structured study pathway that guides students from their initial idea to the final realisation. The course will culminate in the autumn with a final concert, where each participant will be able to hear their own composition performed by the Ensemble Accademia.
Through an approach that combines theory and practice in a workshop atmosphere shared by all participants, the course aims to develop compositional theories and techniques suitable for realising individual creative projects through the development of sound material according to different grammars (primarily figural and generative).
-
- Three collective lessons lasting three days each, to be held in February, April and June.
- July–August: during the summer, students will refine their pieces so that they can present a near-final version at the beginning of September.
- September: online meeting to discuss final adjustments, delivery of complete scores and distribution to the Ensemble Accademia.
- Autumn: final concert
Those who have a diploma under the old system, Level I or Level II, or equivalent foreign qualifications may apply. The commission reserves the right to accept any talented student, even without the above-mentioned requirements.
Applications for the 2026 must reach our offices by 23 January 2026. With the same requirements, the date of submission of the application is considered for choosing the students. Any applications sent after the deadline will be evaluated by the Directors of Studies.
No entrance exams are required for the course, but for the selection process, students applying to join this course must send PDFs of two scores and related recordings (all these materials must be sent in a separate email to specializzazione@accademiadimusica.it). Where applicants meet admission requirements equally, selection will be made on the basis of the date of submission of their applications.
