Your donation will help us to support and to advance the training of future music professionals, to organise music education activities in schools, and to bring music to the people who need it most.

HOW WE WILL USE YOUR DONATION::

• 65% financing for scholarships for talented students
• 20% acquisition of new instruments and equipment for young musicians studying at the Accademia
• 9% activities for music education and for raising awareness of music
• 6% general expenses (overheads, organisation, office costs etc.)
  Your donation can be a single lump sum or you can choose to support us by regular payments.

The Accademia has always given our students the opportunity to apply for scholarships that cover (completely or in part) the fees for courses and masterclasses.

Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors, who share our objectives and our commitment to supporting
courses in advanced music and postgraduate specialisation, courses that will help students to embark on a career as a concert performer, or to prepare for prestigious competitions, or for auditions for places in an orchestra or as opera singers.

Help us set up a scholarship with a donation of €500 or more. The scholarship could be awarded for one year only or you could take on a longer commitment to set up a scholarship covering multiple years.

The scholarship could carry your name or that of the person you wish to commemorate. You will be invited to the annual ceremony for the awarding of the scholarship, and, if you wish, you will be able to personally hand the award to the winner.

A legacy to the Accademia is an effective way to protect and nurture the music you love and to share this passion with future generations. You will be investing in the new generations of musicians. If you believe that the Accademia’s concerts have significantly enriched your life, a legacy can be a way to give back, to express gratitude for a place that has made you feel at home.

HOW CAN I LEAVE A LEGACY?
There are two principal forms of will:

• HOLOGRAPHIC WILL – This is the simplest kind. You may decide to write it out yourself, in clear, comprehensible handwriting, adding the date and your signature. Once written, you must make sure it is stored securely, informing a trusted person of its existence, or entrusting it to a notary public who will safeguard it.
• PUBLIC WILL – You may decide to have it drawn up by a notary public, who, as a public official, will write out your will and testament in front of two witnesses

The notary public will safeguard the document, will deposit a copy in the public archives and will inform heirs and legatees of its existence.

• WHAT CAN I LEAVE?
  A sum of money, up to any amount.
• Movable goods, such as an artwork, jewellery or a car.
• Real estate, such as a flat or a piece of land.
• Investment funds, securities, shares, severance pay.
• Entire estate.

A bequest to the Accademia di Musica will be donated entirely following the intentions of the testator, because it is exempt from taxes, including inheritance tax.
