Born on May 15, 2003, it was in Setúbal, Portugal, that he grew up and obtained his education from primary to secondary level.
He started playing the piano at the age of 8 with the help of his grandmother who had also studied the piano, and then started his formal education at the age of 10 in the Regional Conservatory of Setúbal, with teachers Fátima Guerreiro and Nuno Batoca. At 18, he enrolled in the National Academy of Advanced Orchestral Studies in Lisbon where he obtained his bachelor degree with professors Paulo Oliveira and Jill Lawson, which he concluded with the highest mark. He is now in his first year of master’s degree in the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Brussels, with professor Aleksandar Madžar. For the master’s degree, he had also been admitted in the classes of Johan Schmidt, also in Brussels, and Nikolaas Kende, in Antwerp. In Brussels he’s also studied improvisation with Boyan Vodenitcharov and Fortepiano with Piet Kuijken.
He has played multiple times in various halls all throughout Portugal, in various different contexts, whether as a soloist, in chamber music, lied accompaniment or as a part of an orchestra. He made his debut as a soloist with the KCB symphony orchestra with conductor Christian Arming in the Flagey Concert Hall, in Brussels.
He participated in masterclasses with great pianists and professors such as Milana Chernyavska, Marie-Josèphe Jude, Antti Siirala, Henry Kramer, Olaf John Laneri, János Balázs, Raúl da Costa, António Rosado, Fausto Neves and João Bettencourt da Câmara. He won prizes at various international and local competitions for solo performances, such as the Concurso de Piano de Serra da Estrela, Concurso Internacional de Música do Alto do Minho, Prémio Elisa de Sousa Pedroso, King’s Peak Music Competition, Paços Premium, Bell’Arte International Piano Competition, among others.
He participated in many festivals in Portugal such as Festival de Música de Setúbal, Festival de Música Terras de Santiago, Festival de Piano da Serra da Estrela and Verão Clássico. In 2025, he got awarded a full scholarship by the Bell’Arte Foundation to participate in the Paris Summer Sessions, where he had lessons with Nelson Delle-Vigne, Piotr Folkert, Paola del Giudice and a masterclass with Marie-Josèphe Jude, and another full scholarship to enroll in the ICPA program (International Certificate for Piano Artists).
He is also active in chamber music performance, having worked with various instruments and formations, and being part of an established piano trio, with which he won prizes and performed in various locations and contexts.
He has been student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica since 2026.
