Anastasia D'Amico
Biography

Born in Genoa, Anastasia D’Amico began studying the cello at the age
of ten with Marianne Chen. She later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in
Cello Performance at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole under the
guidance of Filippo Burchietti, continuing her advanced studies at the
Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano with Taisuke
Yamashita.
She has received numerous scholarships and first prizes in
international competitions, both as a soloist and chamber musician.
Among these: “Riviera Etrusca” in Piombino, the “Jupiter”
International Competition in Genoa Nervi, and the Luzzogno National
Competition (where she was awarded a special prize for best
performance). She also won first prize at the “Clara Wieck
Schumann” International Competition and at the “Città di Moncalieri”
International Music Competition.
She is currently pursuing a second-level Master’s degree at the
Accademia Internazionale “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola, studying
with Luca Magariello and Enrico Bronzi.
Anastasia has taken part in masterclasses with internationally
renowned artists including Giovanni Scaglione, Giovanni Gnocchi,
Franz Helmerson, Antonio Meneses, David Geringas, Jens Peter
Mainz, Martti Rousi, and members of the Quartetto di Cremona.
In 2019, she made her solo debut in Genoa during the official
presentation of the “Charter of Girls’ Rights”.
Since 2017, she has combined solo work with chamber music,
performing regularly in piano duo and in the “Trio Démos” (cello,
flute, and piano). She has appeared in prestigious festivals and concert
seasons, including Liguria Eventi, IMOC Festival (Chianciano
Terme), Teatro Vittorio Emanuele (Messina), and the Lago Maggiore
Musica Festival.
She recently joined the Quartetto di Genova, with which she is
furthering her chamber music training at the Accademia Stauffer in
Cremona, while actively performing across Italy.

She is a student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica ETS since 2025.
