Virginia Citraro was born on 5 August 1998 in Ivrea, Italy. She began her violin studies at the age of four at the “Accademia Suzuki Talent Centre” in Turin in the class of Lee Robert Mosca and later in the classes of Francesco Cerrato and Liana Mosca.
She then continued her studies with Fabrizio Pavone at the ‘Conservatoire de la Vallée
d’Aoste’, where she graduated with 110 cum laude. She is currently attending the fourth
semester of the violin master’s programme at the HMT in Leipzig in the class of Carolin
Widmann.
She has extensive experience in the orchestral field. She has worked with orchestras such as the “Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza”, the “Orchestra Filarmonica Ettore Pozzoli”, “Orchestra Settenovecento”, “Orchestra da Camera di Pescara (Colibrì
Ensemble)”, “Filarmonica del Teatro Regio di Torino”, etc.
Over the years she has honed her skills with Barnabas Kelemen, Alina Ibragimova, Yair
Kless, Oleksandr Semchuk, Lukas Hagen, Laura Marzadori, Sergey Galaktionov and Cecilia Ziano.
