Matteo Sebastiani was born in Amelia in the province of Terni in 1996. He began his academic studies under the guidance of Mariangela Vacatello with whom he obtain the Bachelor’s degree at the Arrigo Boito conservatory in Parma with a grade of 110 cum laude. Then he continued his studies with Andrea Padova, with whom he obtained the Master’s degree with 110 cum laude. He is currently attending the Master’s degree in Chamber Music with Pierpaolo Maurizzi and he’s studying piano with Roberto Plano, at the same time he’s studying composition with Luigi Abbate.
He has played at numerous concert seasons, such as: Associazione Filarmonica Umbra, Fondazione Cantiere di Montepulciano where he played with the chamber orchestra RNCM of
Manchester conducted by M°Roland Boer, XXVII Stagione Concertistica Università della Tuscia, Fundación Eutherpe, Preggio Music festival, Deruta International Music festival, Piano city Napoli and many others, in 2020 he was the winner of a scholarship as the best pianist among the classes of the A.Boito conservatory of Parma, receiving the Rotary Parma Est Award. He has participated in lots of masterclasses with important pianists such as Andrea Lucchesini, Riccardo Risaliti, Alberto Miodini, Olaf Laneri and many others. Contemporary works are also included in his repertoire, in fact he has performed in first performance important compositions by established composers such as Gabrio Taglietti, Carla Rebora and Rosita Piritore, he’s in fact
constantly dedicated to the study of composers of our century.
