Pierluigi Di Cosola
Biography

Born in Bari (BA), Italy, in 1998, Pierluigi Di Cosola comes from a musical family: his father is a guitarist, and his mother is a pianist. He began his violin studies at the age of 4 and a half under the guidance of his grandfather, a Venezuelan-trained violinist who studied with Maestro Abreu and later with Giuseppe Perrino, a close friend and student of the renowned violinist Gioconda De Vito.
At the age of 7, Pierluigi enrolled in classes with Hungarian violinist Andreina Kiss, where he began developing the first technical foundations of the Russian school of violin playing. He later attended the Conservatory of Music in Monopoli, initially studying under Duccio Ceccanti, and subsequently under Ilaria Cusano, with whom he completed his academic training.
Currently, Pierluigi is continuing his studies at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Turin, under the mentorship of Maestro Guido Rimonda. He has further honed his skills through advanced courses with distinguished violinists such as Ida Bieler, and has participated in numerous masterclasses with prominent artists, including: Boris Garlitsky, Felix Ayo, Alessandro Milani, Giovanni Angeleri, Igor Andriyeevskyy, Nina Sivachenko, and Francesco Peverini.
As a performer, Pierluigi has held several solo and chamber music concerts. Notable performances include his participation in the Perosi Festival and his appearance as a guest at the Seneca Award Ceremony, held at the Academy of Arts and Philosophical Sciences.

He is a student of the Fondazione Accademia di Musica.
