Marianna Fasolino was born in Salerno in 1995. She began her academic studies in piano with Pier Carmine Garzillo and Costantino Catena at the D. Cimarosa Conservatory in Avellino, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree with full marks; she continued her studies at the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples where she graduated with honors under the guidance of Francesco Pareti.
In 2024, thanks to an Erasmus scholarship, she attended an internship as an accompanying pianist and teaching assistant at the Gabriel Piernè Conservatory of Metz, in France, where she had the opportunity to perform in several concerts as a soloist, in chamber ensembles and in improvisation collectives.
Over the years she has performed on stages such as the “Fundacion Eutherpe” in Leòn, the “Madrid Music Hall” in Madrid, the Sala Scarlatti of the S. Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples, the Teatro Lendi in Aversa, the Vincenzo Vitale auditorium in Avellino, the Sala Chopin at the Napolitano Company in Naples and the Istituto vescovile Marconi in Portogruaro. She has received several awards in international piano competitions such as the 2nd prize at the “Orchestra Ferruccio Benvenuto Busoni” competition in Vinci (FI), in 2019, and the 2nd prize at the “Musicarte Festival & competition” in Tiggiano (LE), in 2022.
She has attended masterclasses with pianists such as Roberto Plano and Giuseppe Devastato and for several years she has combined her piano training with the study of musical composition under the guidance of Maestro Giacomo Vitale, presenting some original music at Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano in Naples and at the archaeological museum of Calatia di Maddaloni.
