Biography

Osvaldo Fatone is a full-time Piano Professor at the “Umberto Giordano” Conservatory of Music in Foggia. He began his musical journey at a young age at the “Niccolò Piccinni” Conservatory in Bari, where he graduated with honors and special mention. He later obtained his diploma from the “Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia” in Rome, studying under Maestro Benedetto Lupo, who currently mentors him at the Music Academy in Pinerolo. He continues his training with Maestro Pasquale Iannone.

Osvaldo has participated in masterclasses with renowned teachers such as Arie Vardi, Andrea Bonatta, Akiko Ebi, Klaus Hellwig, Ronan O’Hora, and others of international acclaim. He made his orchestral debut at the age of 11, performing Mozart’s Concerto K.467, and later performed in Romania with the Mihail Jora Orchestra. Among his notable performances, he has played under the direction of Maestro Aldo Ceccato in Rome and at the “Festival dei Due Mondi” in Spoleto.

He has received numerous awards in international competitions, being the Second Prize Winner at the Euregio Piano Awards in Germany. He has also placed among the top contenders in competitions across Italy, England, France, Portugal, and Germany, and is the recipient of the 8th National Arts Prize for piano interpretation. A finalist in the 64th Ferruccio Busoni International Competition in 2023, he is regarded as one of the rising stars of Italian piano.
