Alessandro Vaccarino
Biography

Born in 2001, Alessandro Vaccarino started his piano studies at the age of 7.
In 2022, under the direction of M° Valeria De Bernardi, he took the 1st Level Accademic Degree with full marks and honors at the “Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi” in Turin. Now he is attending the 2nd Level Accademic Degree with M° Giacomo Fuga in the same Conservatory. Meanwhile, he is attending the Masterclasses of M° Daniela Carapelli and M° Enrico Pace and the Light Course of M° Filippo Gamba at “Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo”. In 2023 he was admitted to the Stauffer Artist Program in Chamber Music with Dedalo Quintet, held by Maestro Bruno Giuranna.
He also attended several Masterclasses with various pianists: E. Pace, N. Fitenko, L. Boullet, S. Gragnani, M. Costa, P. Gililov, C. Schuster, B. Canino (at Stauffer Academy) and M. Béroff (Academie d’été de Nice).
He has won awards in many competitions both in Italy (Cortemilia 2013 and 2016, Moncalieri 2015, Caraglio 2016, Verona 2018 – final “Steinway Young Talents” competition, Alassio 2018 and 2019, Arona 2021 online) and abroad (Paris, CMF Competition 2014 and 2015, Lugano ISCART Competition 2021 online, Washington American International Music Talent Competition 2021 online).
Alongside the solo repertoire, he also devotes himself to chamber music (quintet, trio, duo) and he has played in duo with the violinist Janine Bratu since 2019. Recently he has also approached the repertoire for oboe and piano.
He regularly performs both as a soloist and in various chamber ensembles. He held solo recitals for the “Piano Live” and “Liguria in Musica” series, in Bardonecchia for “Musica d’Estate” organized by Pinerolo Academy, in Acqui Terme for “Spazio Classica” season and in Loranzè for “Il Salotto Musicale della Cicala”. He is a member of Dedalo Quintet, with whom he has performed in Italy and abroad: in 2023 he held two concerts in Germany, in Hagen, at the Emil Schumacher Museum, and Unna, at the Hof Bellevue. Since 2019 he has been playing regularly in duo with the violinist Janine Bratu, with whom he has performed several times including in recitals for the “Piano Live” festival, and with whom he was invited in 2023 to represent the Turin Conservatory live for Rai Radio 3, as part of the program “Voci in Barcaccia”. Recently he has also approached the repertoire for oboe and piano.
He also performed in Moncalieri for the “Donna Allegra Agnelli” award in the context of the 2015 Saturnio Prize, on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the Reggia di Venaria, in Turin for “Il Conservatorio per Santa Pelagia”, “I Mercoledì del Conservatorio”, “Serate Musicali” (with solo and chamber repertoire) and at the Oratorio di San Filippo Neri (in duo), in Savigliano at Palazzo Taffini and in Vercelli for Camerata Ducale with the oboist Gabriele Colombo. He also took part in the Mozart Nacht und Tag marathon.
