Anna Giulia Alvandi
Biography

Born in Sassari in 1998, she entered the Conservatory at the age of 9. In March 2017 she graduated with full marks at the L. Canepa Conservatory in Sassari, led by Andrea Ivaldi. She participated in various regional competitions where she won the first prize in her category, and in 2013 she obtained the first prize in the regional competition “Prime note”. She got the second prize at the “23rd National Piano Competition J.S. Bach” in Sestri Levante (2008) and in the International Competition for piano and Orchestra “Barlassina Young Talents Competition” (2013). In 2017 she ranked third in the 7th International Competition “Premio Accademia Giovani” in Rome. She gave various concerts both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles: 2014 Olbia (Sala Liszt), 2015 San Teodoro (Teatro Comunale) and Sassari (Concert for Soloist and Orchestra of the Conservatory), 2016 Sassari (Aula Magna of the University), 2017 Olbia ( Sala Expo), Sassari (for the “Mercoledì del conservatorio” season), Pinerolo (Tempio Valdese), 2018 Chianciano Terme (Sala Fellini), 2021 Turin (Salone Internazionale del Libro), 2022 Pinerolo (Tempio Valdese), 2023 Turin (Aula Magna of the Polytechnic, for the “Fortissimo – Polincontri Classica” season). She attended various masterclasses held by the pianists E. Pace, M. Baglini, F. Bidini, P. De Maria, M. Vacatello, B. Canino, L. Trabucco.
She currently attends the Polytechnic of Turin and studies at Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo, led by Gabriele Carcano.
