Giulia Pianini Mazzucchetti
Biography

Giulia Pianini Mazzucchetti, born in Poggibonsi (Siena) in 2001, began studying the violin at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole at the age of 5 under the guidance of the teacher Martina  Chiarugi. In 2012 she moved to the violin class of Eva Erna Tsabo attending all her masterclasses supported in turn by Karin Regina Florey in the Villa del Cigliano (San Casciano Val di Pesa). In 2008 and 2010 she won the “Coccinella d’oro” award for the very young students of the basic school courses in Fiesole (playing in the concert of the best winning students) and in 2014 the scholarship award for students aged 12 in on. In 2012 she won the second prize at the international competition Premio Crescendo in Florence. In the same year she attended the Stage de Musique en Savoie course in the French town of Karellis-Montricher-Albane. From 2010 to 2015 she was part of the children’s choir of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole performing concerts in numerous Italian halls such as Strauss’  Die Frau oh e Schatten with M. Zubin Mehta at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
Since the first years of study she has combined the individual musical part with the chamber music, quartet and orchestra activities offered by the School with teachers such as Matteo Fossi, Edoardo Rosadini, Riccardo Cecchetti, Franziska Shotensack, Giorgio Casati and Francesca Piccioni (Lyskamm Quartet). She has been part, until 2022, of the Galilei orchestra of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole with which she has performed in numerous halls in Italy and abroad including the prestigious Musikverein in Vienna.
In 2019 she began her Bachelor at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole with M. Duccio Ceccanti (with whom she held numerous masterclasses at the Livorno Music Festival-Quartetto Klimt) and then returned again to the class of the previous teacher Eva Tsabo. In the same year she joined the Cupiditas Orchestra with which she performed in various Italian cities and attended lessons with M. Stefano Delle Donne with whom she held his masterclasses in 2019 and 2020 at the “Festival del Golfo” of San Marco of Castellabate. She currently participates at numerous masterclasses with teachers such as Ulrike Anima Mathé, Timothy Ridout, Yair Kless, Klaidi Sahatchi and Vera Martinez. In December 2022 she joined the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana as first violin. In April 2023 she is awarded with her Yugen Quartet (born in the same school) with a merit scholarship.
