Giovanni Perri was born in Cosenza in 2000. He began studying the violin at the age of 11. He attended the “L. Della Valle” music high school in Cosenza, where he graduated in 2019 with top marks and honors under the guidance of Maestro Lorenzo Parisi. He subsequently attended the academic courses at the “S. Giacomantonio” conservatory in Cosenza, studying with Maestro Alberto Maria Ruta and graduating in 2022 (level I academic course) and in 2024 (level II academic course) with top marks and honors. He is currently attending the annual free specialization course at the “G. Cantelli” conservatory in Novara under the guidance of Maestro Leonardo Cella. During his studies, he took part in several Masterclasses and specialization courses in both violin and chamber and orchestral music, with teachers such as Pavel Berman and Eva Bindere (Livorno Music festival), Alberto Miodini, Anna Serova, Yulia Berinskaya, etc. In 2017 and 2018 he was selected among the best students of various Italian music high schools to take part in the summer workshops of the National Orchestra of music high schools, at the Caetani Castle in Sermoneta (LT). He performs in concert both as a soloist and in chamber groups and in orchestra. Since 2021 he has collaborated with the Cosenza Symphony Orchestra as a violinist in the first violins, with which he holds several concerts under the guidance of conductors from Italy and abroad such as Grigor Palikarov, Jan Milosz Zarzycki, Arman Azemoon, Giancarlo De Lorenzo etc. He has won several national and international competitions such as “Luciano Luciani”, “city of Praia a Mare”, “San Francesco di Paola prize”, “Gustav Mahler” of Trebisacce, “city of Mirto-Crosia”, “Ama Calabria” etc. From 2022 to 2024 he worked as a violin teacher at the “Scuola d’Arte Musiké” in Cosenza.
He is student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica ETS since 2025.
