Domenico Cagliuso, baritone, began studying opera singing with maestros Vincenzo
Nizzardo (baritone) and Ermes Nizzardo (tenor), before continuing his studies with soprano Serenella Fraschini and later with tenor Piero Giuliacci. He obtained his first-level academic diploma in singing at the Cilea Conservatory in Reggio Calabria with a grade of 110/110 cum laude, and subsequently his second-level academic diploma with a grade of 110/110 cum laude and honours.
He has participated in several masterclasses with internationally renowned artists such as Leo Nucci, Renato Bruson, Giuseppe Filianoti, Barbara Frittoli, José Carreras and Simone Alaimo.
He participated in the 12th “Simone Alaimo – il bel canto” international competition in June 2025, winning the role of Leporello in W.A. Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
Among the roles he has debuted are Leporello (Don Giovanni by W.A. Mozart), Dulcamara (Elisir d’amore by G. Donizetti), Schaunard (La Boheme by G. Puccini), Uberto (Gina by F. Cilea), Slook (La cambiale di matrimonio by G. Rossini), Antonio (Le Nozze di Figaro by W.A. Mozart), Betto di Signa (Gianni Schicchi by G. Puccini).
He is a student at the Fondazione Accademia di Musica.
