Beatrice Martelli
Biography

Beatrice Martelli, born in Castel San Pietro (BO) in 1997, started studying violin at 4 years old with Grazia Raimondi. She was a student at the “Vassura Baroncini” music school in Imola and continued her studies at the conservatory “G. Verdi” in Ravenna, in Raimondi’s class. She graduated in 2016 at the conservatory “G.B. Martini” in Bologna with Marco Lorenzini.
For many years she took part in violin Masterclasses held by Cristiano Rossi and, in recent times, in those held by Klaidi Sahatçi.
Beatrice attended the three-year specialization course at the Fondazione Accademia Internazionale “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola under the guidance of Oleksandr Semchuk and Ksenia Milas. She also has been an active part in concerts and Masterclasses with Masters like Andriy Viytovych and Marco Zuccarini. In 2018 she took part in the orchestral workshop held by Peter Manning.
In December 2019, she passed the audition for the Italian Youth Orchestra (OGI), an experience that allowed her to work with Masters like Kolja Blacher, Simone Bernardini, Lorenza Borrani.
At the Imola Academy, she attended the Master’s Degree course in Musicology and Musical Heritage, Violin addressed. There, she graduated with full marks in June 2022, presenting a thesis on the influences of Lieder in romantic instrumental music, with a focus on chamber music by J. Brahms.
Beatrice is currently a violin teacher at the “Vassura Baroncini” Music School in Imola.
In recent years, she has developed a passion for chamber music: she has played in various ensembles and has deepened repertoire of String Quartet and Piano Duo in a particular way. In fact, in 2020/21 she attended the Avos Project International Music School in Rome, taking part in lessons of the Prometeo Quartet. As a Duo, she participated in the specialization seminar for “Duo violin and piano” held by Andrè Gallo and Francesco Senese at the Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna, and Marco Zuccarini’s lessons at the Imola Academy.
Recently Beatrice has been admitted to the Advanced violin course at the Accademia di Musica in Pinerolo, in Cecilia Ziano’s class.
