Marie Ponomaryova
Biography

Born on 6th of July 1991 at Sevastopol, Ucraine. Starts playing piano at the age of five studying at the State music school with Professor Valeria Romanenko. In 2006 enters the Kiev State Special Music School “M.Lysenko” where she studies with Professors Boris Archimovich and Nadia Archimovich, than with Professor Sergei Riabov. In 2009 enters the National Music Academy of Ukraine “P. I. Tchaikovsky”, where she studies under the guidance of Professor Sergei Riabov and graduates in 2014 with the highest grade. In 2015 takes masterclasses with Vovka Ashkenazy (Switzerland) and Daniel Pollak (USA) at the Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola, Italy. In 2018 enters the Conservatory “F. Morlacchi” at Perugia, Italy, where studies under the guidance of Professor Stefano Arnaldi. In 2021 graduates with the highest grade and “menzione d’onore”. In June 2021 was admitted to the Pinerolo Music Academy at the class of Professors Pietro De Maria and Enrico Stellini, where she is currently finishing her education.
During the studies as a soloist she also won the following international piano competitions: “Maria Yudina Piano Competition” St.Petersburg, Russia, “Heinrich Neigauz Piano Competition” Kirovograd, Ukraine, “A. Karamanov Piano Competition” Simferopol, Ukraine, “Città di Villafranca” Italia, “Lia Tortora Piano Competition” Città della Pieve, Italy, “Premio Crescendo” Florence, Italy, “Citta di Padova” Italy ecc.
In Italy starts to play at the piano duet with american pianist André Short, with whom she won numerous piano competitions such as “Premio Crescendo” Florence, Italy, “Ischia Piano Competition”, Italy, “Città di Padova” Italy and participated at the masterclasses of a Bulgarian piano duet Desislava Shtereva – Evgenia Simeonova as part of the Erasmus programme at The Conservatory “F. Morlacchi”.
