David Mancini
Biography

David Mancini, born 1998, started his piano studies at 8 years old. He graduated with highest grades and honors with M° Mariangela Vacatello. At 11 years old he was accepted at Conservatorio “Santa Cecilia” in Rome with M° Giovanni Auletta, where he started the traditional academic course, concluded at Istituto Briccialdi in Terni. Currently, he attends the master piano course at Conservatorio “F. Morlacchi” in Perugia with M° Vacatello as well as the light course at Academy of music in Pinerolo with M° Benedetto Lupo. At the same time, he further explores chamber music repertoire with M° Pierpaolo Maurizzi. He played as soloist the Beethoven Piano Concerto no.3 with the “A. Toscanini” Philarmonic Orchestra. In May 2016 he gave a recital in “Pietro da Cortona” hall, inside Capitoline Museums in Rome. In addition to his piano courses, David is continuing his studies of counterpoint and composition with M° Pasquale Lucia. He won many national and intenational piano competitions, like: “Lia Tortora” (1°prize), “Giulio Rospigliosi” (1°prize), “Premio Clivis” (1°absolute prize), “Marco Dall’Aquila” (1°prize), “Città di Tarquinia” (1°absolute prize), “Docmusicontest” (1°prize). His concert activity allowed him to perform for major institutions like: “Accademia di S. Cecilia” in Rome; “Filarmonica Umbra” in Terni; “Reate Festival” in Rieti; Conservatorio “A. Boito” in Parma; Conservatorio “S. Cecilia” in Rome; Festival “Santa Fiora in Musica”; I.S.S.M. “G. Briccialdi” in Terni. Furthermore, he also attended several masterclasses with various pianists, like: Boris Berman, Riccardo Risaliti, Roberto Prosseda, Pietro De Maria, Mariangela Vacatello, Giovanni Auletta, Mario Montore.
