Francesco Grasso
Biography

He graduated with full marks at the “G.Verdi” conservatory in Milan with M° Renato Donà. He then attends the two-year specialization course for orchestra professors at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, and the master’s degree at the Accademia del Ridotto in Stradella.

He also followed numerous violin masterclasses with great masters such as Massimo Quarta, Domenico Nordio, Giulio Plotino, Francesco Manara, Dmitri Chichlov, Dora Bratchkova, Carlo Parazzoli, and seminars on violin teaching with Maestro Daniele Pascoletti and Carlo Costalbano.

He also participated in chamber music masterclasses with the Rachmaninov Trio of Moscow and with the M°Hoggang Li (Shanghai Quartet).

In 2019 he was awarded at the “5th national chamber music competition for young artists” in Milan and in 2020 at the “International Orchestra Auditions Awards” of the Samnium University of Music.

In the orchestra he has performed in the most important Italian theaters and festivals including the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and the Champs-Elysèes in Paris; he played under the guidance of great conductors including David Coleman, Giovanni Antonini, Donato Renzetti, Fabio Luisi and Pedro Amaral.

He is a student of the Fondazione Accademia di Musica.
