Francesco Ricci
Biography

Francesco Ricci, born in 2003, studied with M° Antonella Lunghi at the  “Ottorino Respighi” conservatory in Latina from 2017 to 2019. He attended propaedeutic courses and some contemporary music masterclasses. He took part at his first masterclass in 2015, where he rigorously studied French literature of the first half of 20th century and in 2018 he participated in a festival in which some students played all Debussy’s Preludes. He has been studying with the same professor at the  “Santa Cecilia” conservatory in Rome, where he was admitted with honors since 2020. The student takes part in summer courses, having lessons with important pianists such as Enrico Pace, Benedetto Lupo, Anna Kravtchenko, Andrea Lucchesini and Pierluigi Camicia. He often enters national and international piano competitions always ranking among the top positions and he is often selected for representing the Conservatory. The pianist frequently plays in some different halls, like the prestigious Franz Liszt Hall at Palazzo Falconieri in Rome and he is going to perform in some recitals in the next months. He was selected for playing the World Première of some contemporary pieces with the conservatory orchestra. Francesco Ricci, a pupil first of Alexander Romanovsky and then of Roberto Plano’s three-year piano advanced course, won IV Prize at the 2024 Venice Prize.
