Salvatore Davide Pennisi was born in Catania in 1998 and studied violin at the city’s conservatory until the age of 18.
He enrolled at the G. Verdi Conservatory of Turin and began his academic path in violin, obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in October 2023.
Several experiences accompany him during his studies including Masterclasses with Maestro Francesco Manara and Eva Slongo in the field of “Jazz Violin.”
In 2019, he took part in the MITO Settembre Musica Festival with the Orchestra of the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan. In 2022 thanks to the Conservatory of Turin he won a scholarship with the opportunity to study violin at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music in Athens (USA) for one month. He participated in the role of orchestra professor during the Torino Jazz Festival and still collaborates as an orchestral
player at the Accademia di Alto Perfezionamento in Saluzzo with Maestro Donato Renzetti. In January 2023, he took up the profession of violin teacher at the Music Academy in Trofarello (Turin).
In November 2023, he took part in the orchestral training project of Sinfonica Giovanile di Milano, which allowed him to prepare a wide symphonic repertoire under the guidance of the first parts of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano. In the
same period he began a collaboration as an orchestral (for the duration of four months) at the Teatro Regio in Turin for the opera “Il Piccolo Principe” by Pierangelo Valtinoni. In
February 2025 he won an audition as a violinist in the orchestra of the Maghini Orchestra. From May 2025 until July 2025 he will take part in the orchestral training project of the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence.
He is a student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica since 2025.
