Born in Bassano del Grappa (VI), on the 6th of December 2001, Maristella Diquattro began her musical studies in piano at the “Arrigo Pedrollo” Conservatory of Vicenza at the age of 9.
She began playing in public in 2012, with the concerts “The piano in France and Russia between the 19th and 20th centuries”, followed in 2013 by “The sound that evokes: the piano in Spain between the 19th and 20th centuries”, under the guidance of professor A. Tessoni.
In 2016 she began the first academic year of level I with the professor Cristina Stella and at the same time she continued her studies at the Liceo Classico “Antonio Pigafetta”, where she graduated with a grade of 100 in 2020.
She then enrolled in the three-year degree course in Philosophy at the University of Padua while continuing his musical studies starting the second level academic course in piano in 2021, with the professor Iolanda Violante, after obtaining the three-year diploma in piano with grade 110.
In recent years she has participated in numerous concerts and events, some promoted by the conservatory, as “Tuesdays of the conservatory”, “Musical Saturdays” at Palazzo Cordellina (VI) and the “Centofughe” project from the Premio delle Arti in 2018, performed at Palazzo Chiericati (VI); other external ones, including piano marathons and other performances.
She participated in 2019 in the complete performance of “Le Sonata di Scarlatti”, at the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory of Music, Naples, an event promoted by the Piano City Napoli project, with the aim of selecting the best students among twelve Italian conservatories and having them performed the corpus of the 550 Sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti is in public.
She participated in numerous national and international competitions, including:
• Piano competition of the “Michele Aldemario Curti” Musical and Cultural Association, city of Bucchianico, 2015 first prize and 2018
• “Villa Oliva” National Music Competition in Cassano Magnago, 2016
• Slobomir International Music Competition, 2017, solo piano and piano duo, third and first prize
• Sonja Pahor National Piano Competition, 2020
and Masterclasses, including:
• “The piano in the contemporary repertoire” held by the musician and piano teacher Emanuele Arciuli;
• “Persona” on instrumental pedagogy, held by musicians and viola teachers Giovanni Petrella and Davide Zaltron;
• Piano Masterclass and Recital, held by teacher Jasmin Arakawa;
• Altschuler Summer Music Institute, studying piano with M. Thomas Pandolfi and chamber music with teachers Ayke Agus, Matteo Rocchi and Antonello Farulli;
She joined the Conservatory of Vicenza as an internal collaborator in 2020, accompanying the string and wind class but continues her activity as a piano accompanist externally with other instruments and vocal groups. She plays in chamber ensembles such as the Duo Maat with the violist Silvia Comin and the Veris Quartet, with the violinist Matilde Schiavon, the violist Silvia Comin and the cellist Leonardo Bruschetta. She teaches piano privately and currently teaches in many schools.
She collaborated several times with the Porto Burci, a cultural center, with the “SpazInsoliti” project to enhance Vicenza spaces through artistic and musical performances and performances, first in 2019 in the Evangelical Methodist Church of Vicenza with a solo piano program; then in 2021, with a chamber music program for mandolin and piano, entitled “Partiture al femminile. Voci di donne”.
From this collaboration the Duo Cosmos was born, with the mandolinist Anna Bozzetto. The duo participates in various events and concerts between Vicenza and Padua:
