Giulia Loperfido was born in Rome in December 2000. She began studying piano at the age of 7 under the guidance of M° A. Mannarini, and in 2010, at the age of 9, she was admitted to the 3rd year at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, in the class of M° Riccardo Marini.
She graduated in February 2017 at the age of 16 with full marks and honours, and in October of the same year she won the Third Prize at the XXXIV edition of “Premio Venezia”, national competition reserved for the best graduates, thus having the opportunity to perform at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
Giulia starts competing in national and international competitions from the age of 7, distinguishing herself always among the first positions; she is the winner of first prizes in national competitions such as the IX and the X edition of the “City of Magliano Sabina” Piano Competition, the IV “City of Avezzano”, and international ones such as the III Piano Competition “Premio Clivis”, the I Competition “Bruno Bettinelli” Piano Competition, the “City of Castiglion Fiorentino” Piano Competition, the IV “Mozart” Piano Competition in Frascati, the XIX “Anemos” Piano Competition and the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition 2017. In 2016 she won the First Prize at the III International Piano Competition “Il Pozzolino” in Seregno. In the summer of 2019 she is the winner both as a soloist and in duo with violin of the Campus delle Arti Award 2019.
Starting from 2013 she approaches chamber music; in duo with violin she wins the Third Prize of “A feast of duos” violin & piano competition in Sion, the First Prize of Sardinia International Music Competition, the Second Prize at the National Chamber Music Competition “Giulio Rospigliosi” and in the “Città di Magliano Sabina” 2018 Competition. In 2018 she was selected as the only pianist participating in the 16th edition of the “Rome Chamber Music Festival”. In 2020 she is the winner of the audition for instrumentalists of the Accademia dei Cameristi in Bari, and together with the violinist Ivos Margoni she is the winner of the “G. Guglielmo” Competition 2020 in collaboration with the “Amici della Musica di Padova” Association.
In the summer of 2020 she is the founder of the Eidos Piano Trio, which in a very short time time asserts itself as one of the most promising chamber music groups at a national level.
In 2022 the trio won the “AMUR per i nuovi talenti” Competition, organized by the AMUR Committee, thanks to which it enters as an ensemble in residence for the following two years in the national concert circuit project supported by many of the major musical institutions in Italy. In November of the same year it is also the first ensemble selected by the De Sono Associazione per la Musica as winner of the ninth edition of the prestigious Renzo Giubergia Award, an award given every year in support of a young rising star of international concertism. In 2021 it is the absolute winner of the XXV edition of the Instrumental Competition “Città di Giussano” and of the National Competition “Borsa di Studio Trio Pakosky” in Piacenza. It is also selected by the Parma Concert Society as a winner of the contest “Mu.Vi. 2021”.
Giulia has performed as a soloist and in chamber ensembles in numerous festivals in Italy and abroad. In particular in April 2019 she performs at the Gaber Auditorium in Milan for the Fondazione La Società dei Concerti. Among others, the Biellese Youth Festival of Classical Music 2015, “Les Sommets du Classique au Jazz” 2013 (Crans-Montana), Matelica Festival 2017, Lunigiana Music Festival 2018, Fortissimissimo Firenze Festival 2018 and 2021, “Master Piano Festival” at the Teatro Politeama in Tolentino, “Prestissimo Festival 2018” in Rome, the Pontine Music Festival from 2019 to 2022, “IncontrInClassica” 2016, “Note Future” 2018 at Teatro Dario Fo in Camponogara, “6 per l’Arte” in Padua at the Basilica of Sant’Antonio 2018, the Autumn

She has performed J. Haydn Double Concerto for violin and piano with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Maestro H. Joo in the context of the “Sion Festival” 2014, L. van Beethoven Piano Concerto n° 3 op. 37 with the Chioggia Symphony Orchestra conducted by M° P. Perini in 2016, F. Chopin Piano Concerto n° 2 op. 21 with “L’Anello Musicale” Orchestra conducted by M° P. Dionisi in 2019 and in 2020 with the Roma 3 Orchestra conducted by M° M. Bufalini, J. Haydn Piano Concerto n° 11 in D Major with the Collegium Musicum Almae Matris Chamber Orchestra conducted by M° R. Pischedda in Bologna for the “Musica Insieme” Foundation.
In 2020 she was admitted to the High Specialization Courses at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, in the class of M° Benedetto Lupo, with whom she’s currently studying.
From 2018 to 2020 she has attended the Specialization Course held by M° Andrea Lucchesini at the Fiesole School of Music. From 2018 to 2019 she has attended the Piano Specialization Courses held by M° Konstantin Bogino and Laura Pietrocini at the International Academy of Music in Rome. She has participated as an effective student in Masterclasses with Professors such as Bruno Canino, Roberto Cappello, Pavel Gililov, Benedetto Lupo, Andrea Lucchesini, Boris Petrushansky, Klaus Kaufmann.
In 2019 she attended the specialization course in chamber music with the Trio di Parma at the Perosi Academy of Biella. In 2020 she began to attend the International Biennial Course of Chamber Music as a trio in the context of the Avos Project in Rome, and in 2021, still in this formation, she is admitted to the Course of specialization in Chamber Music in the class of M° Bruno Giuranna at the Academy W. Stauffer in Cremona.
She is a student of the Fondazione Accademia di Musica.
