Angelica Casonato is a singer and music teacher. Raised in Oderzo, a small town in the province of Treviso, she began her musical journey at the age of eight with the children’s choir directed by Maestro Roberto Brisotto at the Opitergino Music Institute. In 2010, she began studying at the Liceo Musicale in Castelfranco Veneto, where she was able to explore the variety that the music scene has to offer, ranging from different instruments (jazz singing, piano and saxophone) and repertoires, gaining experience in orchestras and small ensembles. In 2016, she began studying opera singing with Maestro Daniela Pellizzari, thanks to whom she obtained a Distinction for the ABRSM Level 5 singing certificate. In 2019, she obtained her first-level academic diploma in singing, with top marks, at the Cesare Pollini Conservatory in Padua, with Annunziata Lia Lantieri and Federica Bragaglia; in 2022, she completed her studies at the Arrigo Boito Conservatory in Parma, obtaining her second-level academic diploma with top marks with Maurizio Leoni. During her studies at the conservatory, she had the opportunity to participate in several masterclasses with renowned maestros such as Leone Magiera, Mariella Devia, and Vincenzo Scalera. She also took part in the production of Handel’s pastiche “Il finto pasticcere” (The Fake Pastry Chef), written and directed by Professor Stefano Patarino, and in a workshop with the Toscanini Orchestra of Parma as an accompanying singer, as well as numerous concerts and events in the Triveneto region. In 2021, she came second in the youth section of the Vano Visioli competition.
She is a student of the Fondazione Accademia di Musica.
