Andrea Di Cecca graduated with top marks, honors, and special distinction in the First Level Academic Piano Program at the “E. R. Duni” Conservatory in Matera at the age of just 20, under the guidance of Professor Elvira Grilletti. He is currently pursuing his second level studies while also refining his skills with renowned professors such as Benedetto Lupo, Alessandro Deljavan, Bruno Canino, Roberto Plano and Massimiliano Ferrati. For two years, he attended the advanced training course at Accademia del Ridotto under the guidance of Maestro Boris Berman.
He has received awards and recognition in various international competitions: 1st Prize at the Giubitosi Competition; 2nd Prize at the Napolinova Competition (which included the opportunity to participate in the international piano festival); 1st Prize at the Carles & Sofia Piano Competition (which included the opportunity to record a piece in honor of Claudio Arrau); 3rd Prize at the Orbetello Competition.
He is the pianist of the newly formed “Trio Murr”, with which he has performed in concerts for Expomus in Como, for the Beethoven A.C.A.M. Society in Crotone, and for ARTEria in Matera.
He is also actively engaged in a series of solo performances: selected as soloist with his conservatory’s orchestra in 2023 to perform for Republic Day (concert broadcast live on national TV); chosen by his conservatory for a recital in memory of Maurizio Pollini in 2024 on the occasion of the Festa della Musica; solo recital for the “A. Toscanini” Association in Atripalda; since 2023, he has performed as a soloist at PianoLab; in June 2025, he gave a solo recital at PianoCity Pordenone; in June 2025, he performed a solo recital at the “Tempietto” Festival in Rome; in September 2025, he played as a soloist at PianoCity Lecce; in October 2025, he performed for PianoCity Napoli.
He is student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica since 2025.
