Pianist Giuseppe Guarrera has made a name for himself on the international scene thanks to important awards, including prizes at competitions in Montreal (2017), Rubinstein (2023), and Cleveland (2024). He was named Rising Star of the Klavier-Festival Ruhr and awarded the Tabor Award at the Verbier Festival. Critics praise his “ability to master all styles” (Scherzo) and his “energetic temperament” (Bachtrack).
He has performed as a soloist in prestigious international venues and festivals, including Wigmore Hall, Pierre Boulez Saal, Salle Cortot, Herkulessaal in Munich, Teatro La Fenice, Severance Hall in Cleveland, as well as on tour in China and North America. Recent engagements include a Canadian tour, an artist residency in Cleveland, and concerts in France.
Also active in chamber music, he has performed at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Philharmonie in Cologne, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, and at major European and Asian festivals. He has collaborated with orchestras such as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, the Cleveland Orchestra, and the Nagoya Philharmonic.
A key moment in his career was Daniel Barenboim’s invitation to the inaugural concert of the 2017–2018 season at the Pierre Boulez Saal, which led to his appointment as a teacher at the Barenboim-Said Akademie. Since 2025, he has been artistic director of the FEUDO Arts Residency on Mount Etna.
