The pre academic course in piano taught by Giovanni Doria Miglietta will enable students to make progress in technique and in study of repertoire for their instrument and will prepare them for the exams for certificates A, B and C. Thanks to the special agreement between the Accademia and the Conservatorio Statale di Musica “G. Verdi” in Turin, the student’s AdM teacher will be present as a member of the examining panel at these exams, which are held at the conservatory.
The student is entitled to three lessons per month, for eight months, from October/November to May/June.
Applications for the Academic Year 2025/26 must reach our offices by 25 May 2025. With the same requirements, the date of submission of the application is considered for choosing the students. Any applications sent after the deadline will be evaluated by the Directors of Studies.
IMPORTANT!
Candidates may express a preference regarding the Accademia teacher they would like to study with. After the student has passed the entrance exam, the Directors of Studies (consisting of all the Accademia’s strings teachers) will decide on the most effective study pathway for the individual student, including the specific organization of the lessons in the Accademia.
The admission exams will take place in presence on 14 June 2025. The entrance exam will consist of the performance of a programme that includes:
- the first movement of a classical Sonata;
- an étude;
- a Romantic or Modern piece.

The enrolment fee must be paid annually. It is non-refundable. The receipt proving that payment has been effected must be attached to your application to enrol. In case a student wants to attend more than one advanced course, the enrolment fee is to be paid only once in a year.
The tuition fee annual attendance fee is to be paid only after passing the entrance exam, according to the instructions that will be sent by the secretary’s office.
For students concurrently enrolled in the course of piano for contemporary music at the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo, enrolment is free and there is a discount of € 100.00 on the annual tuition fees.
