Study pathway

The advanced course in trumpet taught by Marco Braito has a minimum duration of two years.

The course aims to train musicians who, having already acquired a solid knowledge of their instrument’s literature, wish to refine their artistic and professional preparation. The goal is to provide students with the necessary tools to approach their professional careers—both in concert performance and teaching—with greater awareness and competence.

Particular attention is dedicated to preparing for orchestral auditions and competitions through a targeted study of the repertoire required by major national and international orchestras, including mock auditions and an in-depth analysis of the technical, musical, and interpretative aspects necessary to face professional selections.

The annual study plan includes the study of the following repertoire:

  • Solo
  • Chamber Music
  • Ochestral

The repertoire to be studied, potential participation in competitions and concerts, and the scheduling of internal exams are established by the professor together with each student, based on their level of preparation and individual professional goals. Students are entitled to one monthly lesson with both the professor and the collaborative pianist present, running from October/November to May/June, for a total of 8 lessons per year. At the end of the course, each student will take a final assessment exam to obtain the Diploma or Master’s Diploma.

______________

MINDFULNESS PATWAY
During the first meeting of the academic year, with the aim of promoting a more mindful and effective approach to study and public performance, psychotherapist and Mindfulness Instructor Dr. Daniela Ferusso will hold an introductory presentation for an optional mindfulness pathway applied to musical practice. This path is aimed at developing concentration skills, improving the management of stress and performance anxiety, and strengthening stage presence. This synergy between artistic training and mental preparation is designed to help students approach the stage and the professional context with greater balance, presence, and interpretative maturity.
