Born on November 21, 1995, in Palermo, Michelangelo graduated in Piano in February 2016 at the “Alessandro Scarlatti” Conservatory of Music in Palermo, formerly known as “Vincenzo
Bellini,” with the highest honors.
From a young age, he has been awarded in numerous national and international competitions, including the “A. Trombone” Competition, the XV National Competition for Young Musicians “Città di Palermo,” the 4th edition of the “Eliodoro Sollima” Competition, and the International Competition for Young Pianists “Province of Palermo.” In 2013, he was admitted to the GMC
Project – Young Musicians of the “V. Bellini” Conservatory in Palermo, reserved for young individuals with exceptional talent, which provided me with the opportunity to perform in various
concert halls.
Recently, he has been the winner of the “Napolinova International Piano Competition,” “Oleggio International Piano Competition,” and “Airola International Piano Competition,” chaired by
renowned figures of pianism.
He has performed in famous concert halls and theaters, including the Borgogna Museum in Vercelli for the “Società del Quartetto” of Vercelli, the “G. Garibaldi” Theater in Enna, the RAI
Auditorium in Palermo, the “Sala degli Specchi” of Palazzo Comitini in Palermo, the Sale Apollinee of the “La Fenice” Theater in Venice, Palazzo Alliata in Palermo, the “F. Chopin” Hall of Palazzo “Maddaloni” in Naples, the Ferrara Hall of the “Alessandro Scarlatti” Conservatory in Palermo, the “CineTeatroAgorà” in Robecco Sul Naviglio, the Annunziata Convent in Abbiategrasso, and the concert hall of the “Feltrinelli” in Palermo.
In August 2021, he performed Franz Liszt’s Concerto No. 1, conducted by Sergio Baietta, in the city of Brescia.
He is currently a student of A. Romanovsky at the Pinerolo Academy of Music.
He participates annually in piano masterclasses held in various Italian cities, led by worldrenowned pianists such as Pavel Gililov, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Federico Colli, Enrico Pace,
Giuseppe Andaloro, and Alberto Nosè.
