Simone Anelli
Biography

He began his musical training at the age of 7 and under the guidance of Mario Borciani he graduated with the highest score and honors from the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Milan, where he furthered his study in composition with Sonia Bo. He graduated with honours from the Master of Arts in Music Performance at Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano with Anna Kravtchenko. Complementing his education are the masterclasses with pianists Roberto Prosseda, Gloria Campaner, Vincenzo Balzani, Roberto Cappello, Boris Petrushansky, Enrico Pace, Louis Lortie, cellist Eckart Runge (Artemis Quartet) and violinist Sergei Bresler (Jerusalem Quartet).
As a member of the Aves Trio, which he founded in 2019, he attended the annual course of the members of Trio di Parma at the Accademia Perosi in Biella and the course of the members of Quartetto di Cremona at the Accademia Stauffer and was selected to join the network of Le Dimore del Quartetto.
He has performed in the Sala Bianca of Palazzo Pitti in Florence, in the conference hall of Palazzo Verbania in Luino, in the Salone degli Affreschi at the Società Umanitaria in Milan, at the Teatro alle Vigne in Lodi, within the Festival 5 Giornate at the Museo del Novecento in Milan on the occasion of the tribute to the composer Sylvano Bussotti, at the Kammermusiksaal of the Beethovenhaus in Bonn, in the Italian Institute of Culture in Hamburg.
He has placed in international piano competitions such as Oltregiogo Piano competition (2nd prize), Andrea Baldi Piano Competition (2nd prize), Piove di Sacco (1st prize), International Music competition Dinu Lipatti (1st prize) and he was selected for the Glocal Piano Project in the Busoni Competition.
