Filippo Piredda
Biography

Began studying the piano at the age of ten under the guidance of M° Aurora Cogliandro,  with whom, at the State Conservatory of Music “G.P. Da Palestrina” in
Cagliari, he obtained his Academic Diploma with highest honors, praise and mention. He studied at the Academy of Music “I.J. Paderewski” in Poznań in the class of M° Piotr
Żukowski and M° Michał Francuz. He is currently attending the 2nd Level Academic Course in Ensemble Music in the class of Mª Monica Cattarossi at the State Conservatory “G. Verdi” in Milan and the 2nd Level Master’s Degree Alto Perfezionamento in Chamber Music with the Parma Trio and M° Pierpaolo Maurizzi.
In 2019 he was chosen to represent the Cagliari Conservatory in the “Musei di sera” event at the Vatican Museums in Rome and participated in the piano marathon with the
performance of Alessandro Solbiati’s 100 pieces held at the Puccini Hall of the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan. In June 2021, he made his solo debut with Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in C, Op. 15.
He has collaborated with L’Orchestre Voyageur Travelling Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Cagliari, the Orchestra Tipica di Tango of the Conservatory of Cagliari and internationally renowned musician Stoyan Karaivanov.
He is a winner of the “6th National Young Musicians Competition” in Lanusei, “I Singing and Piano Competition” in Iglesias, 7th Chamber Music Competition “Milano City,” “1st Ischia International Soloist & Chamber Music Competiton” and 7th Edition of “Matteo Sanna Music Competition.” He also won 3rd Prize at the “Cassano Magnago Piano Competition”, 2nd Prize (1st not awarded) at the “5th Villa Oliva National Piano Competition”, 3rd Prize at the “Giangrandi-Eggmann National Competition” and 2nd Prize at the 17th “National Arts Prize”.
As a soloist and chamber musician, he has been an effective student of masterclasses held by such internationally renowned masters as Carlo Balzaretti, Michele Fedrigotti,
Alessandro Deljavan, Pierluigi Camicia, Pietro De Maria, François-Joël Thiollier, Jean-
François Antonioli, Gilles Millet, Filippo Gamba, Lilya Zilberstein, at the Accademia Chigiana (Siena), Enrico Pace and the Parma Trio.
He has participated in numerous concert seasons organized by important associations such as “Ente Concerti Alba Passino – Oristano, Amici della musica Cagliari, L’Armonica Danza delle Muse di Cagliari, Associazione A. Toscanini of Atripalda, Carloforte Musica Festival, Anton Stadler Association of Iglesias.”
