Alessandro D'Onofrio
Biography

Alessandro D’Onofrio, born in Turin in 2005, began studying piano at the age of 7 under the guidance of Professor Jordis Romagnoli.

Since 2013, he has participated in numerous competitions, achieving significant awards and scholarships. He has received the Absolute First Prize and the First Prize at the following competitions: the 9th National Piano Competition “Villa Oliva,” the 12th Competition “Insieme per suonare, cantare, danzare” in Omegna, the International Music Competition “Città di Stresa,” the 33rd edition of the European Music Competition “Città di Moncalieri,” the International Piano Competition “Città di Caraglio,” the International Competition for Young Musicians “Città di Massa” (in two different editions), and the International Music Competition “Città di Cervignano.”

In Turin, he has performed at several locations and events, including Circolo della Stampa, Villa Tesoriera, Auditorium Orpheus, Circolo Eridano, Teatro Baretti during the 2018 “Mozart Nacht Und Tag” musical marathon, and Teatro San Giuseppe. At just 11 years old, he participated in a concert at the Auditorium Piatino Pianoforti. He also performed at Palazzo Madama on the occasion of the centenary of the Galileo Ferraris Scientific Institute.

He has also performed outside his hometown, with notable events at the following locations: the “Marenco” Theater in Ceva, the Cinema Montil in Castellammare di Stabia, the Circolo Nautico Stabia in 2016, and the Synagogue of Casale Monferrato.

He obtained the B piano certification with top marks at the Conservatory of Alessandria and is currently studying composition at the Conservatory of Turin under Maestro Giulio Castagnoli.

He is a student of the Fondazione Accademia di Musica.
