Aleksander Gerber
Biography

Aleksander Gerber studied piano at the Haute École de Musique in Lausanne (HEMU) with Prof. Jean-François Antonioli. Prior to this, he completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Pedagogy at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) under Prof. Hans-Jürg Strub. He received important artistic inspiration from masterclasses with professors such as Konrad Elser, Teppo Koivisto, Filippo Gamba and Karl-Andreas Kolly. His collaboration with artists such as Arta Arnicane (Zurich), Giulio Biddau (Cagliari) and Gintaras Januševičius (Hanover), with whom he took lessons over a longer period of time, also had a profound influence on him.

He has performed solo and chamber music recitals in several countries and at numerous international festivals and courses in Italy (Cagliari, Brescia, Portogruaro, Bosa), Finland (Seinäjoki), Lithuania (Klaipėda), Germany (Ochsenhausen, Hanover, Braunlage, Weidenkam) and Switzerland (Zürich, Winterthur, Lausanne, Biel, Fribourg).

He also loves to collaborate with other musicians and often appears Lied pianist and as chamber musician. As soloist he had the opportunity to play with the orchestra of the Haute Ecole de Musique Lausanne under the direction of Anthony Fournier.

He is student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica ETS since 2025.
