Advanced opera singers at Musica Maestro!

The students of the two-year postgraduate course specialising in opera singing (3rd university cycle),  the only course of its kind in the world of advanced training in Italy created in 2024 as the result of a partnership between two foundations, the Fondazione Luciano Pavarotti and the Fondazione Accademia di Musica, will perform at the summer festival Musica Maestro! – Casa Museo Luciano Pavarotti. They are Calliandro Simona, Casonato Angelica, Covini Ester, Su Xiaosen, Zito Mariangela and they have attended the first year of this 3rd level. The course is seen as a process that will help them to transition and mature, as they prepare for a career performing or teaching opera singing. The qualification is recognised by the MUR – Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca / MUR – Universitaly) with a value of 3 points in applications for public teaching positions. Our teaching staff are all renowned singers in the field of opera, and there will also be contributions from guest artists from the most prestigious opera companies in the world.

Nel 90º anniversario della nascita del Maestro Pavarotti e nel 10° anniversario On the 90th anniversary of Maestro Pavarotti’s birth and the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Casa Museo, the recital represents the final moment of the internship held in Tortona at the Accademia Musicale Lorenzo Perosi and in Modena at the Casa Museo Luciano Pavarotti with the famous tenor Marcelo Álvarez, teacher of the Course together with Fiorenza Cedolins and Ambrogio Maestri, all three among the greatest interpreters of the international opera scene. The young singers will alternate in a varied and engaging program, ranging from the most significant pages of the operatic repertoire.
