Davide Ciruolo, born in 2001, began studying piano at the age of 5 and cello at 11. He graduated from the “Isabella d’Este” Music High School in Mantua with top marks in the class of Prof. Silvia Dal Paos; at the same time he perfected his skills under the guidance of Maestro Massimo
Repellini and attended the Piano Academy of Mantua from 2015 to 2019 with Maestro Leonardo Zunica.
He graduated with top marks under the guidance of Maestro Veronica Lapiccirella at the
“Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Turin in 2023. He is currently finishing his studies at the same Conservatory in the class of Maestro Cecilia Radic.
He has participated in several Masterclasses held by Maestros Enrico Bronzi and Giovanni Gnocchi in collaboration with the Pinerolo Academy of Music, currently he attends the High Orchestral Musical Specialization course in Saluzzo under the guidance of Maestros Amedeo Cicchese and Relja Lukic, first parts of the Teatro Regio of Turin, thanks to which he had the opportunity to play in collaboration with the Philharmonic of the Teatro Regio of Turin under the direction of Maestro Donato Renzetti.
He has won numerous national and international competitions, both as a pianist and cellist: he won the First Prize at the 1st and 2nd edition of the National Competition “Scuole in Musica” in Verona, the First Prize at the 6th Competition “Giovanni e Sergio Martinelli” in Castelnuovo del Garda, the Second Prize at the International Competition “Giuseppe Acerbi” in Curtatone in 2015 and the First Prize in 2016, the Second Prize at the 5th National Competition “Val di Sole” in Dimaro and the Third Prize at the International Piano Competition “Domenico Scarlatti” in Carpenedolo.
He has also obtained awards in Duo with his brother, the pianist Enzo Ciruolo, such as the First Prize at the International Competition “Claudio Abbado” in Milan, the First Prize at the International Competition “Jan Langosz” in Bardolino in 2018 and the Third Prize at the International Competition “Città di Piove di Sacco”.
He has performed numerous times in various editions of the “Unione Musicale” concert season both as a chamber musician and as a soloist, at the Teatro Vittoria and at the artistic headquarters Orsolina 28, in Monferrato.
During his school career he was awarded several scholarships.
He collaborates intensely with the orchestra of the Conservatory of Turin also as first part, thanks to which he had the opportunity to be a shoulder in the MiTo concert season in the series of concerts “Turandot – la principessa di gelo”, at the Teatro Alfieri (TO) and at the Teatro Strehler (MI).
He has performed in Mantua at the Teatro Scientifico del Bibiena, at the Teatro Sociale, at the Auditorium Monteverdi of the “Lucio Campiani” Conservatory and at the Church of San Barnaba for the project “Amata Siria” under the guidance of the director Nahel Al Halabi.
He currently collaborates permanently with a trio, together with the pianist Matteo Chiambretto and the violinist Federica Sabía, with whom he has won first prizes in various competitions; they are also winners of the scholarship offered by the Avos Academy of Rome, studying with M° Mario Montore.
Together with his string quartet he also had the opportunity to play on prestigious stages such as the Teatro Carignano in Turin and the Abbey of Hautecombe in Aix le Bains, for the “Nuits Romantique” Festival.
He has participated in many orchestral realities such as that of the Orchestra Sinfonica Mantovana and the Orchestra Giovanile di Suzzara as first cello and soloist, performing at the Teatro “Riccardo Zandonai” in Rovereto (TN), the Duomo of Cuneo and the Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan; he also played together with the Pirkanmaan Orchestra of Tampere in collaboration with the “Pirkanmaan Musiikkiopisto Musiikkiyhdistys Suonala” in the Kangasala hall and with the Jalas Chamber Orchestra during the Masterclass “Suomitaly – International Music Meeting” held by the Masters Leonardo Zunica and Maria Ala-Hannula in the years 2015, 2016 and 2017.
He is a student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica ETS since 2025.
