Luca Guido Troncarelli
Biography

Born in Turin in 2001, he began studying the violin as a child, playing the piano as an autodidact. At the age of eleven he began taking piano lessons with Claudio Voghera, teacher and deputy director of the Conservatory of Turin, where he still continues his studies brilliantly, following several courses including chamber music with Antonio Valentino and organ with Fausto Caporali.
He has attended masterclasses and advanced courses with Joaquin Achúcarro, Jean-François Antonioli, Aleksandar Madzar, Gabriele Carcano and Benedetto Lupo, and since 2014 he has performed regularly in public, taking part in various festivals such as Serate Musicali and Concerti a Santa Pelagia of the Conservatory of Turin, Concerti d’autunno in Sestri Levante, Musica d’Estate festival in Bardonecchia and Savigliano Piano Festival. In 2018 and 2020 he performed in the RAI programme Nessun Dorma and in 2021 he played for Unione Musicale at Teatro Carignano and Teatro Vittoria in Turin.
In 2017 he won the piano competition Steinway – Giovani Talenti in Turin, followed by numerous prizes in other national and international competitions such as the XXIII Concorso “Città di Giussano” (2nd prize, 2018), the XXXIII Concorso “J. S. Bach” in Sestri Levante (overall winner, 2018), the XXIV Concorso “Città di Giussano” (overall winner, 2019) and the I Concorso “Città di Avigliana” (2nd prize, 2019). In 2021 he was selected with three other students to perform as a soloist with the orchestra of the Conservatory, and in the same year he was awarded the first prize at both the Orbetello International Piano Competition and the XIV Concorso “Città di Piove di Sacco”.
In 2020 he graduated with top marks and honors from the Liceo Classico “Cavour” in Turin and currently, alongside his musical studies, he is studying Mathematics at the University of Turin.
